FRIDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

Eugene and I didn't have special plans last Friday. After debating for an hour on where to go to eat (Versailles, sushi or K-town) we decided to head to K-town for some bbq and dduk (Eugene HAS to have bbq dduk wraps). Every combo meal comes with a bottle of soju :) and I drank all of it. A little tipsy, we went back home and played with Hogan. We were wrestling with him on our bed, then holding him up in the air and spreading his arms, trying to make him look scary like Dracula or something. Then we ended up taking this photo of him. It was so funny, you had to be there. I thought it was better entertainment than going out to a movie.....and then I passed out.

UPDATE - see about judy section at top right

I am quickly approaching 20,000 visits on my web site since its launch April of 2006. Not a huge amount but I have to say I have enjoyed all of you dedicated visitors and really appreciate all your comments. I'd say about 14,000 visits were from me, 4,000 from Eugene, and 2,000 probably spread out amongst 10 of my closest friends :)

Please let me know how I can improve my site, attract more visitors, and more visits from all you current visitors. What do you like to read about among the topics listed below? Let me know!

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH ME THESE DAYS?
Currently I am :
- Teaching Hogan how to say "Mommy"
- Tending to Hogan and treating his skin infection
- Working on my golf game and fix my awful drives
- Working out 3-1 hour intense sessions, reshaping my figure to look like Eva Longoria (I think that is a realistic goal, no?)
- Looking for a dance class that Sue and I can sign up for
- Planning a bone marrow drive for early March with a goal of 50 sign ups!
- Planning my best friend's baby shower scheduled for mid-March
- Planning my company annual retreat seminar and golf tournament scheduled for early April
- Planning our 1st wedding anniversary trip to Costa Rica in late Apr
- Learning to bake (cuz Eugene loves baked goodies so much)
- Trying to take care of Eugene's skin with daily application of moisturizer, and weekly facials
- Trying to get in the habit of drinking more water and eating more fruit
- Picking out paint colors for our living room and master bedroom
- Designing our deck
- Shopping for our nephews' Calvin and Derek's 2nd and 3rd (respectively) birthday presents

CLAM/MUSHROOM PASTA

By popular demand, I'm posting up my recipe for the pasta dish you all tried at Juanne's shower back in December. It's hardly a secret recipe but I will take all the credit I can get from you fans ^ ^

If you recall, I had temporarily banned posting of recipes and any talks of eating or cooking altogether on my web site because of the few pounds I gained during my first marial months (hehe). Now that I'm back on track with vigorous training 3 times a week in addition to yoga/pilates, I don't feel too bad going back to indulging in a few of my favorite dishes here and there.
Ingredients:
1 cup of diced oyster mushroom
1 cup of diced shitake mushroom
1 cup of de-shelled clams (get the frozen packaged ones from the Korean market)
olive oil
1 white onion
spaghetti noodles
soy sauce
How to:
- sautee onions on a non-stick pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil (2 minutes)
- add both cups of mushroom to the pan and sautee for an additional 3 minutes, creating a subtle broth (may need to add an additional tablespoon of olive oil here)
- add clams along with 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce (let simmer for 2-3 minutes for the flavors to all come together)
- serve ontop pasta (do not cook pasta in the sauce!!!) serve at room temperature, cold is fine too

I LUV THIS EBAY HOUSE

I know that we just moved in recently and that the house is way out of a realistic price range, but I love this one house that was being showcased on Ebay. If you follow the link in the picture, they have tons of pictures on the website. It's kinda weird because it looks like they had some type of grand opening for the house with Pierce Brosnan, David Duchovny and other celebs.

DOT FEAR! WHAT DO YOU SEE? (scratch, scratch)

A glowing red, succulent piece of fruit? Not I- I see a cluster of freaky that makes my skin crawl, I itch all over and my entire face and body twitch from disgust. It happens when I see clusters or dots.... like an army of ants, holes in cheese, even coral. I immediately imagine worms and other tiny little creatures oozing out of them, like pus on pimples OOOH YEAH pimples too. Eiw, gross! (scratch, scratch).

I know it's bizarre but I've had this fear of dots all my life. I had grown up identifying it as "dot fear." I could have sworn I heard of this terminology but I guess it's not widely used. Something like this is better known is "fear of clusters" or "Asymmetriphobia"- Fear of asymmetrical things, and apparently it is a very common reaction. "Asymmetrical" is key. Symmetrical patterns of dots or any uniform shape do not seem to bother me i.e. stars on the U.S. flag, speakers, checkerboard, honeycomb. What bothers me is the random pattern of things- I feel like the whole thing is going to just start moving around and cause chaos like jumping ontop of me or something! Anyone else feel the same way? (scratch, scratch)

Eugene made some chocolate swirl chip cookies that made my skin crawl:
